I found my home and happiness when I moved to Haywood County in June of 2016. I believe that your home is not only your biggest investment but also the place that holds your memories. As a proud father of two amazing adult daughters and a very proud grandfather to six wonderful grandchildren, I know that memories of fun and good times are what makes a house a HOME. My passion for animals means my home is always a haven for various furry rescues. In my home everyone is greeted by one or more wagging tails, every sunny spot will have a sleeping dog, and you never eat your snacks alone!

Buying or selling; I understand that prompt, clear communication and knowledge of each step in the process makes for a smooth and less stressful transaction. My 20 years working in various leadership positions in the mortgage industry has helped me to bring a different viewpoint to the transaction process. This unique perspective allows me to better serve my customers and clients. It was an absolute pleasure working with Mark. No matter the situation or the question, Mark was always available for us. He made us feel as if we were his priority. Although the process of selling a home and purchasing a new home was stressful, Mark's professionalism certainly made it as easy as possible. He was willing to show us as many homes as we were interested in viewing, even if he "knew" it was not the house for us. Finally, Mark was most supportive when we were negotiating sale price and purchase price and conditions. We don't plan on moving again, but if we do Mark Strayer will definitely be our agent. Mark took excellent care of us. We live in Eastern NC and only had limited time to see properties. Mark was helpful, available, flexible, realistic, and funny as an added bonus. For what it's worth, my 17 year old daughter said he passed the vibe check. When working virtually, he was super responsive via text, email, and voice calls. He answered all our questions and sought the answers to the ones he wasn't sure about. Mark represented us at our inspections and at the closing. Further, he put us in contact the utilities, as well as a rental management company to handle the house until we are able to move. He made every step of this process as excellent as it could possibly be and we are grateful.
